With just one more day until November, it is amazing that anglers are still catching quality carp up in the water !! A big well done to Tony Palios who did just that to win the latest Thursday open match held on Far Hope. Tony weighed in with a fantastic 50lb 12oz of quality carp caught up in the water from peg 18. Tony fished at 14 metres on the pellet, fishing just 18 inches deep to catch carp to 6lb as well as catching a number of stockies at 6 metres on the deck. In second place fishing from peg 19 was Wilf Hudson with 34lb 7oz of quality carp and the odd chub and skimmer. Wilf caught close in using the meat on the pole. In a close third place was Bob Hunt with 33lb 7oz of decent carp caught from peg 9. Bob also caught up in the water on the pole using pellet on the hook. Forth place was taken by Ken Mainwaring with 27lb 11oz from peg 8. Our next open match will be held this coming Saturday with the draw at 9.00. See you there !!
