With my experience within the industry coupled with my command of the witty written word, Im probably the last person that should take on fashioning a negative yelp review. Especially seeing as I typically abhor the whole idea of yelp in the first place. That all said, after meeting a particular fellow industry employee the other evening, I couldnt help but to utilize the power of the internetz to publicly scoff at a very poor performance. Check it: Meh. Its ALWAYS a drag in Portland when a terrible staff makes what should be a solid place completely unapproachable. This is one of those places. Terrible, awful, no good, rude, snide, aloof, condescending, and absent are some of the words I would use to describe the service here. To the young lady with the cliche chest tattoo and bad attitude -- Hi! Im what the business world calls PROFIT. You, my snarky little basket of scoffs are what we call OVERHEAD. It would be of benefit to all those involved in the company you work for if you put on your big girl pants and perhaps tried to give one iota, one inkling, one shred of gracefulness and gratitude for those that come in and hand over their money so that you and your pissed off, too cool for school attitude picks up a paycheck. You may not understand all those words as youre probably too busy regaining your center from all of your eye rolling or perhaps you were once again too busy standing in the middle of the dining room disgustingly pulling your too-small-t-shirt to the side and taking in the full glory of your armpit smell while in the middle of a busy dinner service. Gross. Im not sure which was worse, your attitude or your actions? I must congratulate you though as youve absolutely NAILED the typical tacky and angry waitress thing. Why do you work in this industry if you hate people, especially children based upon your scoffs and sighs as you glared at our child EVERY TIME you so agonizingly had to come around our table to do your job. Jesus, you really are awful. Beyond her, the place is alright. [name redacted] has a fine reputation for making World Class beers named after some of the giants of the industry. While I wasnt really able to enjoy my beverage while in your establishment due to the poor performance of the aforementioned tattooed hate machine posing as a customer service employee, I will still choose to enjoy your beverages outside of your establishment. What a drag as Ive been waiting years for the opportunity to come here. Not sure who is in charge, hoping its not the angry girl, but they should really take a closer look at who they are allowing to represent such an illustrious brand. Poor form all around Id say. I will definitely go out of my way to inform fellow craft beer enthusiasts and friends coming into town to avoid your business at all costs. No cheers...
