With no resources I started The Conflict Monitoring Center in 2010 and with the help of Allah it became a reliable research center. It was started properly in October 2010. After almost exactly five years The CMC is now merged into a larger think tank Pak Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS). I am now part of the PICSS team along my beloved CMC. PICSS will have its first public presence on 20th of October 2014 at 1400 hrs at Marriott Islamabad. I thank to all of those who helped me and encouraged me to run CMC. I hope PICSS management will keep the hard work done by CMC flourishing. Special thanks to Manzoor Naazer who helped me start and run CMC. Thanks to Raja Mohsin Ali, Mian Ahsan Khalil, Naveed Ahsan Naveed, Abdullah Haroon, Guldad, Maryam, Zosheen, Sadia, Afeera, Remma, Imran, and all those who remain part of my team at any point in time. Under patronage of Sir Akram Zaki I am confident that PICSS will become a successful think tank in coming days. PICSSs advisory board has the ability to guide it to success. I hope CMC will also play a vital role in helping PICSS to achieve its goals.
