With our son starting secondary school next week we are trying to ensure he has all the uniform he needs. I still cannot get used to not having high school and Grammar school but that is another story. We bought football boots from Sports direct which arrived yesterday. Well most of them arrived. One boot was lacking 3 studs. Den needs these boots for Tuesday and it is not like I can currently rush out to Walsall. Costly we tried to phone. Kate found 4 or 5 phone numbers indirectly linked ( the sportsdirect site does not give a number). None of those numbers worked. In the end I used their email contact system out of sheer frustration. Only 600 characters for the comment so I could not be polite. I have received nothing in return. No response, no acknowledgement, not an electronic sausage. We have ended up ordering another pair of boots from elsewhere and we shall be sending these ones back. Very shoddy customer service from sports direct though. Awful sales as well. Surely you make sure the product is all there before sending it out. 3 studs on a 6 stud boot is hardly unnoticeable. I realise we are not alone in having problems here and the message seems to be if you want good customer service, sorts direct is anything but UKs number one. In fact the advice would be go somewhere else.
