With respect, President Nasheed, your analysis of the Egyptian political turmoil seems to have failed to consider some key factors: that many of the liberals, including Dr. Baradai and Sabbahi, aided and abetted the coup that derailed the democratic movement in Egypt; that most of the innumerable victims of show trials and mass death sentences and life sentences for false - or, at best, trumped up - charges have been members of the Muslim Brotherhood; that the Muslim Brothers have maintained their support for peaceful protest, even in the most challenging circumstances - even the most recent statement released by President Morsi called for the continuation of peaceful demonstrations. At the end of the day, Egypt - and many other Muslim countries - are plagued with liberals, the majority of whom are non-democrats (Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik being a good example). And you, sir, share more with Muhammaed Morsi than you care to admit.
