With so many different types of foundation, what is the consensus on wax covered, plastic foundation...such as duragilt? I currently have only one hive, will be doing a cut out this week. If all goes well, I hope to be able to get another one set up. I have one deep super left and no frames and 10 sheets of wax coated plasticell from Dadant. Should I stick with the wax coated plastic or ???. I know that everyone has their personal favorites and pros/cons. I need simplicity and ease, but with something that is reliable. My current hive took quite a while to start building comb and over a month later, they finally have about 5-1/2 frames with comb on it. That seems a bit slow, from what I have read. My wife will be passing through Florence and ca pick me up some duragilt at the busy bee store. I guess the biggest issue is that I have to buy frames and need to decide on either grooved or wedged top bar frames.. Am I over thinking this?
