With the 2014 Gaucho XC summer training coming to a close, both the mens and womens programs capped off summer training this past Saturday at the Pulse 5k in San Clemente. On the mens side the standout performances came from Scott Curran 2nd, Ulysses Orozco 3rd, and Andrew Brown 4th who all finished within 2 sec of one another running 15:24-25. Mark Delgado, Miles Brubacher, Ephraim Turner, and Seth Deitz rounded out the top seven closing the gap with the lead 3 and keeping the time spread under 1:15. On the womens side the ladies were lead by Xiomara Jimenez, followed by Gabrielle Delayo, Hayley Richardson and Gabi Walker. The overall commitment as a team to stay consistent with training and working hard everyday has paved the way for this upcoming XC season. Next stop will be the Gaucho Running Camp in Big Bear in 2 weeks. More updates to come from Big Bear. Go Gauchos!!
