With the 24th anniversary of the start of Desert Storm I thought Id share a photo of a 23rd TASS OA-10A arriving at RAF Bentwaters a few days after the war had begun. I think it was five Hogs that crossed the pond, three from the 23rd TASS and two from the 75th TFS, 23rd TFW from England AFB, LA. These A-10s remained at Bentwaters as back-up attrition aircraft as far as I remember. I remember going to Mildenhall on a Sunday morning to see what was about and got word these were arriving at Bentwaters that afternoon, so we shot over, arriving just as the first Hog appeared! https://flic.kr/p/pTDHFL
