With the 3 most fat holidays starting, gaining those unwanted - TopicsExpress

With the 3 most fat holidays starting, gaining those unwanted pounds is right at your front door. So 1st, let me say Seasons Greetings, but before I greet you let me treat you to whats coming if you dont avoid over eating during these so-called good times. So, without even thinking about it, you had a warm up with Halloween! Yes, Halloween, especially for you all that have young children going from house to house with no guilty conscience! You were starting those unwanted calories right on that very day...Halloween. My question to you...was it a happy one? Maybe not yet so lets keep going. Don’t do what you do EVERY YEAR…which is to eat so much over the holidays that you kick off NEXT YEAR heavier than you are now! This is not healthy and you are not getting any younger. YOU ARE AT RISK! Those who are already overweight or obese are more likely to gain weight than those who are not overweight. This suggests that the holiday season may present special risks for those who are already overweight. So what can you do different? 1. Drink water before your meals to send a message to your brain that youre full. 2. Go for the healthiest foods on the table like green, beans, skinless turkey or chicken and fill that plate up with plenty of veggies. 3. Eat smaller portions. 4. Its ok to indulge in that favorite dessert, but dont go crazy. In closing you should not wish or want the same New Year resolution of trying to get healthy and fit every year with no results. You can actually start right now. Its 80% mental so if you train your mind now, the body will follow. Just be aware. The day of a big holiday meal or dinner party, do what you can to watch your calorie intake. You don’t have to deprive yourself; just be aware. Load your plate with fruit and veggie dishes first (watch out for excess gravies, sauces, creams and cheese toppings), pay attention to your portion sizes, and limit the number of desserts you eat...again, just be aware. If you can’t take just one, cut serving sizes in half or in quarters and enjoy a few small “sample” sizes of your favorite treats and at the end BE AWARE FOR A BETTER YOU. Trainer, motivator and a friend. Happy Holidays EB30X
