With the current climate the way it is I am sure what I am about to say will undoubtedly piss some people off, but thats never stopped me. I think fanatical Islam is deplorable. I think their mindset and actions are that of animals who deserve nothing less than extermination. I believe that the idea of moderate Muslims is laughable because if any moderate Muslims were to stand up and take a stand on the streets of any given Muslim nation, they would meet the same grotesque fate as anyone considered an infidel. All that being said. I also believe that our constant meddling in Muslim countries business brings on the majority of the violence we see and are victim to. Think for one second about what you would do if a group, or nation, showed up to our soil (after bombing it, relentlessly) and they said they are here to set us free or to bring us freedom but their idea of freedom goes against not only what we believe but how we have lived for thousands of years. Imagine that they set up road blocks, searched our homes, told us how to run our schools, changed our election process and just for added measure, droned our neighborhoods from time to time. Imagine if this group professed to be about one thing but when you looked at their own practices in their country it defied everything they preached. If they spoke of freedom but passed legislation that robbed their own people of it while giving the illusion they were somehow free. Imagine if you realized that they werent there to hunt down someone that attacked their own land (a someone who they trained, armed and used to support) but to protect their economy, their monetary gains and to exploit your natural resource. How long would it be before you started blowing stuff up? How long would it be before you started sniping their people? How long would it be before you became part of an insurgent movement to attack them not only on your land, but theirs as well? The fact is, you cannot defeat terrorists by being a terrorist. You cannot beat a religion with governmental ideology. You cannot win hearts and minds by casting stones in glass houses and you certainly cannot claim to be on the higher road by droning wedding parties in countries you have no declared war with. Do I think terrorists and radical Islam hate us for our freedoms? Hardly. I think they want to be left alone to be the sick animals they are. I also think that if we stayed home we would have a much more honorable case for blowing them off the face of the earth if they chose to encroach on our land. But most of all, I think if THEIR people want to be free, THEY will rise up and its long passed time for us to let THEM do it and stop wasting the lives of our Honorable Warriors engaging in wars for profit disguised as efforts to expand freedom and democracy (the former being something we ourselves are losing and the latter being something we were never meant to be).
