With the recent development in regards to the Ebola pandemic - TopicsExpress

With the recent development in regards to the Ebola pandemic sweeping across West Africa, I suggest that more precautions to be taken both in the work place and at home because no one can recognise an infected person until they fall ill at which point they are most likely to have lovingly yet unknowingly shared the virus. I therefore encourage us to: 1. Purchase and wear masks to protect ourselves from people who sneeze or cough carelessly, even those whose salivate when they speak. 2. Make sure our hand sanitizers contain strong disinfectants given how resistant this virus has proven to be. 3. Wear and encourage long sleeved dresses/shirts to limit body contact (on the bus or wherever) to the barest minimum. 4. If we can avoid giving or receiving hugs and kisses should and sharing of all types of personal items from makeup, to deodorants, wears, cutlery (spoons, forks, cups) or drinking directly out of the same bottle as someone else, also avoid sharing hand and face towels, this is because one may not have come in contact with an infected person, but the same cannot be said for a loved one or a colleague as we never know nor can we control the people we bump into on a daily basis. To be safe, I would also suggest that everyone should get tested for the virus to establish their status, this would also be great for the family. Research has shown that this recent case of Ebola, is the most aggressive, resistant and widespread in global history. Please lets not be careless, or wait till Ebola related deaths reach the tens or hundreds, take a step to protect yourself and the people you love. And may God save us all. I wish you an Ebola free life. Share with loved ones if this message is helpful. Orun Nyanga OAP Wazobia Fm Abuja.
