With the the current winds and potential of storms through the evening hours, please be on the lookout for fallen trees. If you do locate a tree down in the roadway, please call our non-emergency line to report it, 616-527-0400. Here are a few things that we will need to know, for you to keep in mind: -The location of the tree. If it is not located right at an intersection, please know your directions (North, South, East and West. Not Its on the right side of the road.) -Is the tree blocking the entire road or just one lane? If it is only blocking one lane, which one? (Again, this is where knowing your directions will come in handy.) -What is the approximate diameter of the base of the tree? Is it just a large limb or a full size tree? This will help our road commission determine if they need one man with a chainsaw or a full crew with large industrial equipment.
