With this upload, now the only three existent recordings of this masterpiece are on Youtube: this one is very, very special to me for two reasons: 1. Its a live recording 2. This is the only one with a harpsichord in the continuo group (played by Norbert Zeilberger). The other two recordings (studio, you can fin them on my YT site too) have only organ, violone/cello and theorbo. The picture, as usual, I took it from Gladiator (Ridley Scott): the battle between the germans and the Roman army, to my imaginarium, sets perfectly to the name of a germanic composer who choose Romanus as his name when became a monk. Also, I would like to dedicate this video to the memory of Norbert Zeilberger, harpisichordist of Ars Antiqua Austria and absolute great performer, who also took part as the head of the continuo group of Bach Stiftung in St. Gallen, another musical treasure) who tragically passed away last year in Trogen.
