With winter weather on the way, now would be a great time to review your farm emergency plan. A few tips from the website: Charge your cell phones and check batteries in flashlights. Dont forget that animals will burn more energy in cold, wet weather, so adjust feed accordingly. (resources can be found on the website) Stock up on firewood (check out the State Farmers Market if youre in the Triangle area) All fuel-burning equipment should be vented to the outside, no matter how much ventilation you think there may be. Stay safe!
