Without God all the riches of the world are meaningless. Solomon - TopicsExpress

Without God all the riches of the world are meaningless. Solomon was probably the richest man that ever lived in regards to experiencing material and physical pleasures. He spoke of testing wealth and physical pleasure in Ecclesiastes 2:4-11. Towards the end of his book on the meaning of life, he wrote, "Here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind." (Ecclesiastes 12:13) The Apostle Paul advised is young apprentice Timothy: "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness." (1 Timothy 6:9-11) May the Lord fill our lives with meaning and good fruit today!
