Without a doubt, my favourite Star Wars movie. BUT. Let me tell you why this scene is bullshit. I understand you have Qui-Gon Jinn (a master Jedi) and his apprentice, Obi-Won Kenobi (who by his fighting, you can tell has been trained quite well) and get that. BUT, the you have Darth Maul, this emotionless, tough, smart, demon looking, badass who looks like he JUST walked out of the gates of hell. Plus, a double sided lightsaber? Darth Maul is (to my knowledge) the ONLY person who not only has been shown to be well trained with his weapon, but he also mixes another fighting style in with it. Aside from dodging attacks left and right from TWO opposers, also manages to throw and land several kicks. And he has the force? This is also by far my favourite fight scene up until the end. I personally dont think the two Jedis had what it shouldve taken to take out Darth Maul. I mean he practically owned them both throughout the fight. I will say this much for Darth Maul: he shouldve taken the other lightsaber into consideration and kicked it over the edge as well. Gotta admit, that wasnt exactly smart on his end. I still say Darth Maul shouldve won the fight. Or at the very least, make the scene more drawn out and show him to be way tougher. Like really make the audience think, wow, ok, he is giving two well trained Jedis a good run for their money and seems to be doing so effortlessly. He is obviously one guy you dont wanna have to fight.
