Witness appeal - Thefts from vehicles in Salisbury; Wiltshire Police are investigating a number of thefts from vehicles which occurred on Wednesday 6th November 2013. The first happened at around 3.15 pm at Hare Warren, Grovely Wood. The victim left her vehicle in the car park by the racecourse. She returned to her car after only ten minutes and found that a window had been smashed. Her work bag and Sat nav had been stolen. Officers would like to speak to a young man with a pushbike who was in the area at the time. The second incident was at approximately 6:30 pm and involved a vehicle parked outside Grovely Riding School. The offender(s) gained access to the boot of the vehicle and took a handbag. A further two offences occurred at Shady Bower at St Martins school, whereby two vehicles were broken into. A handbag was taken from one but nothing was taken from the other. DC Maddy Hennah said : We believe that these offences could be the work of the same person or persons. I would like to appeal for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the areas stated. • Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the car parks? • Have you any information on those responsible?
