Woke up at 7AM feeling some what better one of the verts went back where it belongs One still out... So work a little sit a little is the name of the game today. Turkey has been in since 9AM stuffing coming together. Tates waiting for their turn on the burner. Gravy still to come. Green beans on hold as I explain the numbers on the can for the 50th time to my mom... (Explanation will be below) Pies good to go rolls waiting for oven space. If I wasnt in a dry house I would be four fingers into the rum bottle already today. Ok so the beans from Libbys have two sets of numbers on the cans. One set I believe is from the can manufacturing plant. The other set from the canning plant. The problem being one set of numbers have numbers like 1944 and 1929 and such on them with the canning date stamp over them. My mom has it in her head that these beans are from 1944 and 1929 and they just stamped new dates over them to unload back stocked beans. Seriously were the bean crops so big between 1929 and 1944 that we are still trying to get rid of them? And what better way to brig the taste of yesteryear to the table than WWII surplus beans. But I have had sever arguments about the safety of the beans over the past three days. Sigh relax it will all be ok I know but this is my life now.
