Woke up tired this morning. I am old and just dont have the stamina for those late night bedroom antics anymore. We are keeping my sons dog, who thinks his little butt belongs in our bed. I do not share that sentiment. He may have ended up there, but it was because I finally settled down. Then, my wife had bad dreams. There is nothing more disconcerting than waking out of a sound sleep by a scream renting the night. After ensuring that there was no intruder or threat, I reassured my wife it was just a dream. Drifting back to sleep, there was another scream. Did not take me nearly as long to reassure her that time. The dream must have been a bad one as she tossed and turned a few more times. I asked her this morning about it, but she did not remember it. She recalled that the threat was imminent. Her frustration in the dream? She wanted to scream, but could not. I told her different. Guess she never really woke up. I did.
