Woman Seriously Hurt By Hit and Run Driver EL PASO, TEXAS – A 25-year old woman is seriously hurt by a hit and run driver on El Paso’s Eastside almost one year ago. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the Public’s help in identifying the driver and vehicle involved through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” Just before 10a.m, on the morning of Monday, February 3rd, 2014, a 25-year old woman was walking her dog and crossing the intersection of Red Sails and Terrell. As the woman was crossing Terrell from the south curb to the north curb, a vehicle traveling south on Red Sails turned onto Terrell and struck the woman. As the woman was struck and thrown to the ground, her foot was run over by the vehicle. The woman received serious injuries. The woman’s dog was killed in the incident and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without any attempt to help. The vehicle involved is described by witnesses as an SUV that is gray or dark brown. Investigators are certain that someone knows the person responsible for this serious crash. Anyone with any information on the identity of this driver involved in this hit and run that left a woman injured, is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso immediately at 566-8477(TIPS), on-line at crimestoppersofelpaso.org or you can send a text message by entering the key word “CRIME1” (no space and include the quotation marks) plus your tip information, and text it to CRIMES (274637).
