Wonderful Spark! Love David Happy Birthday Dave 😊 I wanted to share my own Spark with you all today. It was quite a few years back, the very first one. I was getting out of a very abusive marriage. I had my 5 kids with me at the courthouse for some charge against me, stolen property from our landlord at the time. My ex had taken his lawnmower and washer and disappeared so I was left to clean up his mess, as usual. It was a long morning and they were taking forever to call my case. My kids were little at the time, my youngest being maybe 3 and my oldest about 9 or 10. The seats were all taken in the waiting area so we holed up in a corner and kept to ourselves, playing games to keep busy or finding things to point out or read to each other. As the crowd began to thin out, an older southern lady came over to us. She told me that shed been watching us and how very well behaved my kids were for having to sit for so long. She then wrapped her arms around me and said she knew how hard things were for me and that she knew I would be okay. I hugged her back and the tears just started falling. I had no idea who this woman even was. She told me when we were done here I was to take my kids to lunch, on her, and slipped something into my hand. I told her that it was not necessary but she wouldnt take it back. I hugged her again and turned to check on my kids. When I turned around, she was gone. I never saw that amazing angel again. After we were done and got to the car? I checked my pockets. That amazing soul had slipped me almost $150.00. A complete stranger, for no reason. It was the Spark that changed my life. I now speak out about mental illness (I have bipolar and 3 of my 5 kids have mood disorders and 1 has autism). I speak out and try to help domestic violence survivors (6 years of an abusive marriage). Im an avid runner and do what I can to help people change their lives or give them the pickup they need to keep going. This foundation is absolutely incredible. Im so happy I found your page. I love reading the stories and hearing how lives are being touched every day.
