Woo hoo! Finally got back into the garden today and planted my lovely new Cherry tree! Very excited. Its a Stella variety, recommended for British gardens, and I hope to get some actual real cherries off it come 2015 - 2016 ish. I do realise I could nip to ASDA and have some this evening, but its just not the same! Next up for planting, my Comice pears (the very best, in my opinion), and 2 apples, Coxs Orange Pippin and Elstar. Yet more excitement! The rhubarb Raspberry Red and the blueberries Bluecrop are already in, and I have some raspberry canes on their way too. Very satisfying stuff (until next year, when Ill doubtless be wailing about greenfly, raspberry beetle, stone fruit moths and cabbage root fly). Just a heads up folks, so that you can gently remind me that I went into this with my eyes open....... C xxx
