Woodward Academy annual CHRISTmas Party is in less than two weeks. Each year we go to Woodward, Iowa and minister to about 300 young men who made some bad choices. These young men are between the ages of 12-18. Many have no family that will come visit them. We have a live praise and worship band, followed by the Gospel message, and then feed them the best meal they will have all year long. When we dismiss them, we give them gifts and also a BIG bag of homemade cookies. SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get your best cookie recipes out and bake up some blessings for some boys who really need some love. You cannot imagine the smiles and comments that come from these young men who are in awe of how so many strangers would go out of their way to bake them cookies. Each year we are seeing a growth in the number of Churches that get involved and help in this special event. We welcome all, so get your Church fired up to join us Your love does leave an impact. They talk about the cookies for weeks after the Jesus Party we throw for them each first Saturday of December. If you are available and can help serve during this Celebration of Christ, Let us know. If it is collecting/delivering cookies, cooking some hams (already provided by Tyson Fresh Meats in Perry), helping sort/bag cookies, help serve the meal, or fellowship/witness with the young men; let us know. Here is a flexible schedule that we will try to maintain this year: We think we will have cookie baggers meet at 1:30. Worship start at 4:15 message start at about 4:45 and start serving at 5:30. The best part of the service is the one-on-one time of fellowship with the boys as they enjoy their CHRISTmas meal. A perfect time to witness to them about our Lord Jesus. Give us a couple of your hours, and they will give you a lifetime of memories. Both will be truly blessed.
