Word of Comfort in the Bible The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you, he will never leave you, never forsake you. Do not be afraid! Do not be discouraged! For as the sufferings of Christ abound about us, also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are afflicted, it is for comfort and salvation of you if we are comforted, it is comforting to you, which gives patience to endure the same sufferings that we are suffering. And our hope in you is steadfast, because we know that just as you share our sufferings, our consolation also participate. 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 Peace I leave to you, my peace I give to you. Psalm 27:4-5 God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in adversity. Psalms 46:1 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may lift you up in due time. Throw it on all your anxiety, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7 For not despised nor repudiated the suffering of the afflicted; did not hide his face, but heard his cry for help. Psalms 22:24 Records, even thou, my regret; collects my tears in Your bottle; accident are not recorded in your book? Psalms 56:8 For I know the plans I have for you I am, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, Nahum 1:7 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may persist overnight, but in the morning breaks joy. Psalms 30:5 So with you: Now is your time of grief for you, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. John 16:22 So if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away, behold the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17 He that sat upon the throne said, I am making all things new!
