Word of Comfort in the Bible The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you, he will never leave you, never forsake you. Do not be afraid! Do not be discouraged! Deuteronomy 31:8 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give rest to you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that, by the comfort we receive from God, can comfort those who are going through trials. For as the sufferings of Christ abound about us, also through Christ our comfort overflows.
