Words cannot do justice for how thankful I am for all of the condolences, food, money, hugs, texts, and Facebook posts me and my family have received regarding the loss of my brother Devon L Walker. Paul Quinn Alumni Choir, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Church, friends, strangers, co-workers, and extended family have all played a part in making this transition smoother. This is a hard pill to swallow and we all will have rough days ahead, but my brother is not in any more pain and I have some peace in knowing that he is in Heaven smiling and enjoying some of our friends and loved ones at this very moment. The thought of my brother not being home when I get there has really had me emotional on today, but with God and your help I am going to get through it. I am not one to put all my business out for people to see, but I had to let as many people as I can know that I am grateful and that you are appreciated. My brother had a Homecoming Celebration and not a gloomy sad sob service and that is exactly how he would have wanted it. Yes we cried, sang, and boy did we laugh. Keep praying for me, my entire family, and all those whose lives he touched.
