Words have horizontal and vertical dimensions. The horizontal - TopicsExpress

Words have horizontal and vertical dimensions. The horizontal represents the associative action of the words, the way in which they automatically touch and stimulate one another. The vertical represents the depths of silence and understanding from which words arise, and the meaning they carry as a result. When there is little awareness of our own depths as we write and speak, it is most often the automatic, associative dimension of words that appears, and communication with ourselves and others often suffers.--Dennis Lewis #DennisLewis
