Words of Encouragement from a Mom: An encouraging word for moms and a bit of a brag Often I find myself hiding from pictures, not wanting anyone to see or remember me as the big fat blob that I have so often called myself. Well the other day my son (who was supposed to be non verbal as per his severe ASD diagnosis but threw years of therapy can finally put a sentence together, howeve still can not express emotion appropriately) said to me on the way to school look mom its a flower I said yes it is and he said its so beautiful, just like you mom I have to admit I became a puddle of mush right there on the sidewalk, I bawled all the way to school, and all the way home.. I realized in that moment, my children (he has a twin also with ASD and a little sister) do not see me as a big fat blob they see me as mom, when they look at me they dont think about the 100lbs I need to lose, they think about the unconditional love I give, and that is beautiful. Moms please, see yourselves through your childrens eyes and realize just how beautiful you are!!!
