Words to Live By I am in love with how God loves our messy world. In all our sloppy journeys, soul-worn seasons, good intentions gone belly-up, in all our stubborn tenacity to find the gold at the end of the rainbow, we are...every one of us, at some point, just messy people. You can dress us up and parade us around, but hidden under our well-dressed exteriors often lies a soul in in disarray. Yet we are loved. Loved in spite of our messy lives. Loved in the midst of them. Loved through the very places that cannot be explained away. God relentlessly loves us in spite of all the mistakes we make. He is and always will be mankinds best and final hope. This KING, full of mercy and goodness, embraces me with love, makes me eat at His table, serves me with His own hands, gives me the key of His treasures. My God and my King, refresh me today in Your Love, so that in Your coolness I may stand the heat! Galatians 6:17 - From now on let no person trouble me [by making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the [brand] marks of the Lord Jesus [the wounds, scars, and other outward evidence of persecutions—these testify to His ownership of me]!
