Words without actions are meaningless: Sometimes folk with tell me what a good preacher I am, or perhaps how much they love me and I wander if they really mean it because actions speak louder than words and the same is true with Christ when we say we are christian or that we love Christ I wander because again actions speak louder than words and if we are to be looked upon for our actions for what we really are then what does that say about us. Admittedly we have all come short, however some come up short by a willingness to not get involved to prove their statements of love or loyalty to God or others. Imagine if you will a conversation where you are the only one talking and the person you are talking to never speaks or acknowledges that you are speaking and you will get an understanding of what it is like to be God and have those that claim to love you and be part of your family but at the same time wants nothing to do with you except at their convenience, and ask yourself how long would you wish to continue the conversation. I probably know the answer to that, not long. How long can we expect God to want on the fruit when we refuse to complete the graft into the vine because of our lack of action? Our words become completely meaningless to God and to those with whom we are trying to convince of any other thing in life It really bothers me when folks say I love you or I miss you or perhaps what a great preacher you are and then they never go to church or never hear you speak or if it is a business deal they never fulfill their promises to you and start avoiding you and just remember your character says a lot about who you are in Christ.
