Working Fire: At 0434 hours, Truck 1 was dispatched to the 7400 block of Dartmouth Avenue in Co. 12s [College Park] first due for a reported house fire. Co. 12 arrived with fire showing from the second floor of a two-story split level. Truck 1 arrived with a crew of eight and assumed first due special service responsibilities. The interior crew entered the second floor and started searches while the outside crew threw six ground ladders, ventilated and removed the garage door. As conditions deteriorated inside, crews were evacuated, regroups and went back in to knock down the fire and open up. Searches were negative. Truck 1 remained on the scene until 0700 to assist with overhaul and the investigation. Rundown: E812, 811, 813B & 834, TW807, TK801 & 814, BATT 4 & 6, A812C, MEDIC 812 Chief 12 had the command.
