Working diligently on my novel this week! Shhhh- I am going to share with you a small small part from the scenes I am working on. It is edited, only slightly, as to not give anything away :) Hope you enjoy it! "I want the can’t breathe, tears in your eyes, proposal on one knee, white dress fairy tale. I want the arms holding me every night and the thumbs that wipe my tears away. I want my dragons slain for me, I want hours of conversation and planning because we are both so into our futures together that dreaming and planning it makes us happy. I want the fairy tale.” “Fairy tales don’t exist. Emotions are inconsistent and betraying. Love turns to hate, happy to sad, depressed to angry. Emotions don’t show truths, they hide them. Think about this rationally. We love each other. We work well together. I would be devastated to learn anything bad ever happened. When you were attacked I was worthless at work. Stuck because I couldn’t leave, but drowning because I couldn’t focus. I know I love you.” “I love you too.” She whispered softly. “Then, why?” “Because... it isn’t enough.” “You’re chasing a dream.” She nodded her head in agreement and then with finality, “It’s my dream to chase.” Well, back to work!
