Working on the reading of The Return of the Kosher Pig - Now into the 2nd part - While Rabbi Shapiras reasoning on the words Echad and Yachid seem faulty and confusing to me the real keys to leading one who has grown up in Judaism to the Lord, Yeshua seem to me to be embedded in pages 58 thru 61 - wonderful material here. I agree with his analysis the question we should ask ourselves is NOT whether Yeshua is God (which only leads to arguments and stubborn opposition on either side) but the question is really did Yeshua have the full authority FROM (given by) the Mighty One of Israel, Yehovah, the Almighty God. On pages 60 thru 61 we are given the Key - identifying who was the Devar Elohim (and do not get sidetracked on a discussion of Elohim either, but identify who the Mimra of traditional Jewish thought might be. There we have the real lever as given in Genesis 3:8, Genesis 15:6, Deuteronomy 33:27 - these examples show that the Mimra performs many, if not all, of the functions of the Logos of Christian theology (as well as of Wisdom). Here we have the opportunity of shedding real light that may indeed penetrate the veil without offending the conscience of One who is endeavoring to remain faithful to what he believes important and true.
