Workout wed. Ft. @mattmuller20 @mitchmuller (workout partners) And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. (Matt 6:7) Before I was a believer this is exactly how I used to pray (when I did actually pray that is..) I was under the impression that the more I asked God please the more likely I was to get my prayer (which usually involved asking for stuff that was contrary to the heart of God to begin with). My idea was that God was some sort of cosmic Santa Claus & if I just acted good enough he was more likely to grant my wishes.. This is not in congruence with what scripture teaches... As we get to know the heart of God (studying/prayer etc) we find that our hearts & attitude begin to conform to his heart & attitude. We can rest assured that we dont need to worry because of this verse: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:7, 34 NIV) God is in control! We cant forget this.. He knows our needs! The key to answered prayer is coming to the point where we are conforming to his heart... Are you doing that today?
