World Breastfeeding Week 2014 Come celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, August 1st-7th, 2014 at the Polk County Health Center. Many of our services are offered regularly to new moms in our community. Free weight checks, lactation consultations and counseling, breastfeeding classes and support groups,educational material available, lending library and a 24 hour breastfeeding helpline (417)315-2135. During World Breastfeeding Week, we will have a prize basket drawing. Treats of Hershey Kisses and information about breastfeeding and babys health will also be available to all who join us. Our Breastfeeding Team, Jill Tice, IBCLC and Traci Volcko Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about feeding your baby.
