World Class Speakers Confirmed for PhilDev IDEA Symposium SAN FRANCISCO – John Mulder of Google Enterprise and Facebook’s Kai Elmer Sotto will appear as speakers at this month’s IDEA Global Entrepreneurship Symposium 2014, an international conference hosted by the Philippine Development Foundation (PhilDev), which takes place on March 17th in Manila at the Isla Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-La Hotel. The annual event aims to further develop the nation’s economy through the advancement of science and technological innovation. The IDEA Symposium functions as a platform to create and expand dialogue between the US and Philippine higher education institutes, government officials, and industry leaders. These international market leaders of both Facebook and Google will speak in a panel discussion, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Global Markets. They will be joined in the symposium by global entrepreneurs, US executives, venture capitalists, and academics. Kai Elmer Sotto is the Head of International Growth + Mobile for Facebook. An experienced international growth strategist and executive, Sotto built and established Facebook in Canada and contributed to Facebooks growth from 100 million to 1 billion monthly global active users. Fascinated by the profound social impact of mobile and internet technology, Sotto also founded Hack for a Cause, a framework that harnesses the entrepreneurial spirit and technological know-how of startup communities to build technology products for non-profit organizations. John Mulder is the Director of Enterprise Operations for Google in the APAC region. Building out and leading Google’s delivery practices and back office operations in Australia, South East Asia, India, South Korea, Greater China, and Japan, Mulder ensures that technology-led business transformation and business innovation are at the top of his customers’ minds.
