World Humanitarian Day! Many Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers put their lives at risk every day to help save the lives of others - such as those in Syria, Sierra Leone, Gaza, Israel, Guinea, Libya, Iraq and within many more afflicted communities around the world. In Syria alone 37 dedicated volunteers got killed while on duty. We call all parties to #ProtectOurVolunteers and to respect their neutral position in times of conflict.
