World Suicide prevention week is just 2 weeks away and SOSAD will be hosting a lot of events to commemorate the week and remember all those lost to suicide. We will be posting information about all these events here over the next couple of weeks so if you are interested in any of them, Please take a note of the date and join in. Studies have shown that social isolation can increase the risk of suicide and, conversely, that having strong human bonds can be protective against it. Reaching out to those who have become disconnected from others and offering them support and friendship may be a life-saving act. We want people who are despairing and thinking about suicide to know that there is help available. All anyone needs to do is to ask for help.
