World Vets Nicaragua Today, my daughter ( who is a veterinary student) and I head off to Nicaragua with a World Vets program. This program is a volunteer program where veterinarians and technicians volunteer their time to spay the local and feral dogs and cats. The veterinary students learn how to do this surgery and so it is a win win situation for everyone, especially for the pets. It is one small way that we can help pet overpopulation. We will also be doing a community outreach day to help people with their horses and livestock. It is something we can do to help improve our world for people and animals. I hope to be able to post some pictures throughout the week!
