Worth Reading! I watch the ball run towards the cover boundary before a fielder bats his eyelids. I see the coach book perfection shining in the square cut. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I watch the brilliant catch taken in the slips, I watch the silent, yet fierce desire to take the team over the line, blazing in the eyes. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I see performance, I see dedication, I see success but never, appreciation or attention. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I see a head bowed down, going about its business while the world turns its eyes off it. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I see a world cup debacle, I see the pain. I see the tests no. 1 spot, I see the happiness. I see the century, all i get to see is his satisfaction of performance for the side, not a glimmer of personal joy. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I see Sachin Tendulkar, my heart filling with pride for being an Indian. I see Mahendra Singh Dhoni, I feel i could not have been born in a better country. But as I look at them, I feel, did he really give any efforts lesser than theirs? Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. Many say I am jealous of Sachin Tendulkar. But no, I am not, nor will i ever be. I dont want the silent man to be a Sachin Tendulkar. Its his silence that made me love him the most. The ones I am jealous of is not SRT. but his fans, who could watch him being lifted by his teammates 3 times in 3 different finals, who could watch their idol touching the trophy with happiness and enthusiasm sparkling within his eyes. I, could not. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I always felt that hard work is the key to success. Today i feel myself doubting the statement because hard work and commitment does not seem enough. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I see him losing yet another final, I feel my eyes shedding tears yet again for his luck. Luck changes they say, another statement I strongly doubt. I feel its better that he retired, that i do not have to watch his hard work go into nothing yet another time. I cannot see more. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I watch the head walk into the sunset. But yet again, overshadowed by the sun around him. Yes, I am a Rahul Dravid fan. I am proud to be a SIR Rahul Dravid fan. But not strong enough anymore.
