Over the next few weeks Ill be removing all of my graphics and poetry from Facebook. From now on Ill be linking to external sites where Ill store the images and words. Facebook kindly reminded me the other day that in their opinion they own anything posted to it to do with as they will and the last thing I would want is for Zuckerberg to make a cent from my work. Clicks he can have... the rest... It seems to me that this is a clear breach of copyright law, and even if its not it is a breach of the INTENT of those laws, that were put in place to protect the originator of a piece of music, art or literature - but Zuck has the lawyers to keep anyone in court until hell freezes over that decided to take them on over the matter. Im pretty sure links dont count to Facebooks ownership of an author/artists work - after all - one can link to anything. It means quite a bit to me when people like my work - and comment on it, hopefully youll keep doing that here on the links or follow them back to wherever I decide to source them.
