Would like to thank all of u for your prayers, texts, and Facebook comments they truly made a very difficult time easier! We are home tonight and finally got a diagnosis and treatment plan in place and feel like our prayers have been answered. Dr Szarka was able to go through all of our test results with us this morning and has concluded that my stomach is unable to process foods like it should. When I eat my stomach doesnt expand therefore causing it to dump everything directly into my small intestine. My small intestine then doesnt have the capabilities to breakdown the contents and sends it through to the colon which is too slow causing the bowel issues. We will be starting new meds and daily exercise to try to strengthen the stomach muscles and slow down the dumping problem. It wont be a quick or easy fix but in time should help my symptoms and help my body to get the nutrients I need.
