She was abandoned by her owner who once ran a café near the park but closed down the business few months later and left her behind. Judging from her physical condition – extremely skinny, exhausted, ill, and with wounds on her forehead, we knew that she has little chance unless taken off the street. However, Nina was captured and put in animal shelter before we could get her. Due to limited resource and lack of public attention, the condition of the animal shelters in Taiwan is usually not quite well. Dogs that were sent there easily got infected with serious disease, and Euthanasia is their only destiny if no one adopts them within 12 days. Nina’s story would have come to a sad end, but we came to the rescue in time. She was soon put to the vet and gotten a clean bill of health. After receiving proper care in the foster home, she has shown us her amazing changes – turning from shy and guarded to sweet, friendly, and playful. Now Nina is waiting for her loving forever home to come around. We are looking for a home that will continue to give this sweet girl all the love and attention she deserves.
