Would you sit under a Pastor who cussed out a teenage girl? Would you follow a Pastor who ran away from God when things got hard? Would you listen to a Pastor who lied to protect his own interests? Would you submit to a Pastor who constantly argued with God? Would you respect a Pastor who treated certain people better than others? Would you associate with a Pastor who tried to kill someone? What would you do with a Pastor like that? What would you feel should be done with him? In short what would you have done with Simon Peter? Jesus saw fit to leave THIS man in charge of his earthly church and within less than 60 days from the above listed monstrous failures, Peter was the senior leader of the first church and preaching a sermon in which 3,000 people accepted Christ as their Savior. Do not be so quick to judge failure and shortcomings. Do not underestimate the people that God can use. Do not underestimate the saving power of the blood of Jesus and its ability to change our hearts. Do not underestimate what God can do with you, chief of sinners.
