Wow - last night reminded me of why I really want the rolling foal hospital. The roads were seriously icy as we were hooking up to come get the baby that Kelly Hyatt was trying to save. And folks, remember, our horsey angels follow ALL the legal channels before bringing in a baby. It has to be done correctly. Any 4 x 4 with enough room for a young horse to stand in would work, but the suburban that we had did not and when we used it we created an issue that could have had really bad outcomes. I have driven a van for about 10 years and if the weather gets too dicey we would ALWAYS pull off the road. Any ideas for a 4 x 4 that would safely allow us to transport critical foals would be appreciated. A closed in trailer that we could maintain temperature would work, but still be more dangerous than a 4 x 4 vehicle. Heart breaking for the loss of the little one but also grateful we didnt have to drive on the icy roads pulling the trailer.
