Wow, I filed my affidavit for the defamation suit by Lee Hsien Loong yesterday, and no mainstream media reported about it at all. Inside the affidavit, I had detailed evidence of how the government takes our CPF to invest in the GIC, and how there are discrepancies. This is very important information which Singaporeans need to know, but I am shocked that the mainstream media did not cover it. This is the evidence that I had exposed: (1) Before June this year, GIC claims that they do not know if they use our CPF to invest. In 2001 and 2006, Lee Kuan Yew also denied that the government takes our CPF to invest in GIC. Ng Eng Hen also denied this in 2007. But by June this year, the government finally admitted to the truth - that they do take our CPF to invest in GIC. (2) In 2012 and 2013, I had written about evidence on the government websites which traced specifically how our CPF is invested in the GIC and Temasek Holdings but by May this year, the government deleted all traces of the evidence on their websites. (3) In June this year, Temasek Holdings admitted for the first time that they do not use our CPF to invest. Tharman revealed in July this year that Temasek started off with $400 million worth of assets in the form of a set of companies. But I traced to a speech in 1982 made by the Minister for Labour and Communications who said that the CPF was used to build factories, roads, ports, telecommunications and houses. Temasek owns these today which means that our CPF was transferred to Temasek but were our CPF monies returned? (4) Today, GIC and Temasek Holdings are the 8th and 10th richest sovereign wealth funds in the world but Singaporeans have one of the least adequate retirement funds in the world. Why did our money enrich GIC and Temasek Holdings to become so rich, while we become so poor? (5) The government also claim that they do not interfere in the GIC, but then we find out that on the Board of Directors is the government! Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is the Chairman, the two deputy prime ministers and the ministers of Trade and Industry and Education and the ex-Transport Minister are also on the board. Lee Kuan Yew is the Senior Advisor. So, how can GIC not know they are taking our CPF to invest? What is the government hiding? I said all these in my affidavit and the mainstream media did not want to report about it at all! These are important truths that Singaporeans need to know, so that we will know what is going on in Singapore, and be able to do whats right to protect ourselves. But the mainstream media did not want to let Singaporeans know? My court hearing is on 18 September at 2.30pm. It will be a closed-door hearing. But at the rate this is going... I only hope justice can be served, but what are the chances of a one-sided media? What are the chances when they do not allow Singaporeans to know the truth?
