Wow... I remember election night 2008. As Jeff and I sat watching the returns come in I remember telling him "Barack Obama was not our choice, but he is our new president. And we will support him until he no longer deserves it". I think that lasted about 25 minutes or so... The unemployment rate at that time was well above 8%. I just saw the new CBO report lauding a drop to 7.3%!!! 5 years and 1 lousy percentage point drop in the unemployment numbers?? (The real unemployment number is about 17% btw...). Not to mention the price tag for this 1% drop. We spent more money for this paltry 1% drop in unemployment than we did arming arming ourselves for WW2!! How much did the Ronald Reagan era recovery cost the American tax payer?? It did not cost them one single, solitary, shiny penny. Not one. As a matter of fact, it was a boon for federal government. Why these highly intelligent, educated men and woman continue to hoist this Marxist claptrap on to the shoulders of the American people I will never understand. Look at the millions of men, women and children throughout the twentieth century alone who toiled and or DIED in the name of this failed ideology. All in the name of FAIRNESS. The human condition will never allow "Fairness of Outcome". I refuse to believe liberals are this remedial. But not even all that is as ugly as this picture I just ran across. Even as left leaning as President Clinton was, American sovereignty was never on the table...
