Wow I think reality jus set in. Im the mother of a 6th grader. So many mixed emotions with a touch of fear...Im slowly letting go more and letting my baby grow into who he needs to be. I just recently had a sit down with him to explain why he was in different classes and actually told him what his diagnosis from the dr was when he was born. One of the hardest things Ive had to do but it gave us both closure and an understanding of each other...He now knows why Ive fought so hard to push him beyond limits. This journey as a single mother of a special needs child has been one of the most challenging yet most rewarding journeys of my life but if I woke up in the am and had to relive it all from day one Id gladly and humbly except Gods will and most precious gift for my life. Im far from perfect and have had so many days of just wanting to give up but TODAY when I picked him up from school and saw that hes already made friends..smiling from ear to ear I know now that every heartache, every tear etc...was worth it all . Hes always been ok No matter where he goes his spirit captures everyones heart. Love you Lil Im so proud of you.
