Wow! Look at this transformation a reader, Rachel, sent in for me of a conversion from a basement into an amazing homeschool classroom. Rachel says: After recently moving into another home, we decided to homeschool our children this year but did not have a lot of extra space. We did, however, have a basement room that we decided to convert into an inviting space that would function as both a classroom, and learning play area for our 2 year old (while my 5 and 6 yr old are schooling). I also dealt with ugly piping, as it was a HUGE eye sore for me. I am greatly affected by my surroundings and I really wanted an inviting space for the kids. After much thought as to how I would divide the room and cover those hideous pipes (on a budget), challenge was accepted! This is what I came up with. Again, I say wow! Im telling you, that homeschool classroom looks nicer than my kids public school classrooms, and just as big! :) While these pictures are obviously cool, which is why I wanted everyone to see them, and I think Rachel did a phenomenal job, I know that this would be unrealistic for many of us to do. But that doesnt mean I dont want to see what you do for your kids, as either a homework area or for your own homeschooling. Smaller and less formal learning spaces are just as fascinating to me as this one! You can submit your photos directly below in the comments or onto the page. The best photos will be featured on the page and also in the Home Storage Solutions 101 Home Organization Hall of Fame. home-storage-solutions-101/clutter-free.html
