Wow! My voice is a little hoarse today. I guess I was doing a lot of yelling and screaming yesterday, but Im a passionate person when it comes to football and when it comes to my players and Ive come to terms to accept that thats who I am. I wanted my guys to fight and thats what they did. Now to be honest with you, I didnt expect my small town country kids to be out there ready to throw blows and getting personal foul penalties, but Im so extremely proud of those guys for not being intimidated or bullied out there. Our offensive line doesnt get much credit or many accolades but the fact of the matter is were a smash-mouth football team and theyre the ones out there smashing people in the mouths. Great Job, Scotty, Schewy, LoLo, Chad, J-Hall, Big Q, Dale, Leo. And Dawson Boyd for filling in when guys got hurt. Big Q - thanks for laying it all out on the line and I hope that you have a speedy recovery from your injury. Last couple weeks youve been going against former Division I linemen and guys whove been going into NFL camps and youve been whooping their butts. Joel and Cam - thanks for running that rock with such toughness and determination and Joel a special thanks to you for leading by example and showing these young men the eloquence and class that you display even though I must tell you Joel, I think you tick off some of your opponents when they get a good lick on you and you jump up, pat them on the back, tell them great job and God bless you. The 3 guys that I yell at the most are Renee, Braden, and Pep. Renee and Braden because they relay my defensive calls and theyre responsible for getting everybody in the right positions and theyve done a great job with this. Renee was blessed with being voted All Pro and Braden was the 2nd leading tackler on the team. And Pep because hes our quarterback and offensive leader. My funnest moment was when our quarterback started yelling back at me - I loved it because I knew from that moment he was 100% locked in. Because of the system that we run on offense, he doesnt get an awful lot of accolades or stats, but the facts are in 3 games against teams that are in the top 25 in the nation, our offense has had 1 turnover and theres an awful lot more to being a quarterback and being a leader that he does on a consistent basis to keep our team focused. And our system has been ran almost to perfection. Were not a flash and dash group of guys. Were blue collar and were grinders and after yesterdays playoff victory, I can also say were winners. Thanks to the fans for road tripping and coming down and supporting us. Special thanks to my brother, James, and his wife, Kim, my sister Shirley and fiance Gene and my sister-in-law Kathy and nephew, Moses for coming down and supporting us. And for the record guys, if you think Im tough, you should see my sister, Shirley. Lets go to Fargo and shock the world!
