Wow! That surely was an exciting game last night. The LSU Tigers were down and it seemed they were defeated. There were folks that gave up hope and turned off the game and went to bed. I’m sure there were some who attended the game who lost hope and left early. Well, I along, thousands of other faithful fans stayed true and faithful and never gave up. We were committed and watched with anticipated hope that the Tigers would make a strong comeback for a victory, which they did. Man, what a game and super win for the Bayou Bengals. Isn’t this just like life? We all get into what seems like winless situations, where all is lost and there’s no hope. It’s great to know that we too can always make a comeback when we place our faith in Jesus Christ! He’s the real game-changer. When we follow Christ and let Him call the plays for our lives, we’ll always come out with a victory. Paul writes in Romans 12:12, “Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.” That’s exactly what we must do is find joyful confidence in our hope, keep on praying and being patient as we wait upon the Lord. He will renew our strength and lift us up to fly high in His glory. The LSU Tigers did not quit on the football field, but continued playing strong. This is what we must do daily in our spiritual lives, especially when we are faced with hopeless situations. Always remember God’s command to Joshua, “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Exodus 1:9 Never give up, for the Lord is on your side!
